Who am I

Who am I

My name is Mie, I am 40+ years old and a dedicated, people-oriented woman with a strong drive. I have lived most of my life in Roskilde, but have recently packed up and moved just beyond the city limits to the cosy village of Vor Frue.

I have a lovely and lively family consisting of four children (one pre-teen and three full-blown teenagers), a husband, a dog and a cat ;)

My educational background is what many would call varied. In 2008, I trained as an office assistant specialising in public administration. After 15 good years in that field, I briefly changed course and trained as a primary school teacher, which I completed in 2022. I chose not to settle there either and therefore returned to the office environment, where I currently work as a project administrator at CBS. Alongside my position as project administrator, I have completed a reflexologist programme, which I finished in December 2025. I am now working towards becoming a registered alternative therapist (RAB) and expect to complete this in 2026.

Why I became an alternative therapist

There are several reasons for choosing the path as an alternative therapist and reflexologist. The first and most fundamental is a strong desire to help other people achieve better well-being and balance. In addition, I have personally experienced both the joy and the positive effect of reflexology on my own body.

Curiosity about alternative treatments has always been present, whether it is called reflexology or other forms of complementary and alternative therapy. The time now feels right to explore this field in depth and use that knowledge in professional practice.

Through a long working life as an office worker and primary school teacher, and as a mother of four children, it has become clear that flexibility is crucial in everyday life. This is also one of the reasons why the dream of working independently as an alternative therapist and reflexologist has grown stronger.
